Building Voice Agents

Lindy supports two types of voice automation.

Inbound Call Handling — Uses the Call Received trigger to receive inbound calls. Best for teams looking to automate customer support, booking inquiries and lead qualification workflows.‍

From the Call Received trigger, you can then

End call
Transfer call
Press numbers - Equivalent to pressing the corresponding keys on a physical phone

Outbound Call Campaigns — Uses the Make Phone Call action to make outbound calls. Best for teams looking to automate sales outreach, consultation requests and other outbound campaigns.

If you are using a phone action as a skill inside an agent node, we recommend you use GPT-4o mini. Otherwise, we recommend using GPT4 - turbo for best agent responses.

How To Purchase a Phone Number

Lindy Phone Calls allows you to purchase a phone number without needing to bring an API key or outside app.

To purchase a number, add a Lindy Phone Call Received trigger or a Lindy Make Phone Call action.

Click the "Phone number from" field and select a number from the dropdown. You can start typing a number in the field to see similar, available phone numbers.

Each number costs $10/month and will be charged to the credit card on your Lindy account.

You can view your purchased phone numbers by clicking your user icon, selecting Settings, then Phone Numbers.

From there, you can Disconnect or Release the number from your account.

Find the "Language" dropdown menu

Call Pricing

Lindy provides automated calling capabilities across more than 100 countries worldwide.

Phone numbers cost $10 per month each, with each number supporting simultaneous incoming and outgoing calls. These numbers can be purchased for any country where the service is supported. For usage pricing, per-minute rates are determined by both the country and the selected AI language model (LLM).

Our standard configuration (incoming and outgoing United States phone calls using GPT-4o) costs $0.19 per minute. See detailed pricing here.
